
Rudy Hovelinck
Rudy Hovelinck is the chief executive officer of Pathomation and is based in Gent. He joined the company as chief operating officer in February 2022, a role he held until February 2023, and took up the position of CEO in December 2022.
Before that he spent seven years at AstraZeneca, where he was diagnostics manager from April 2015 to February 2022 and associate diagnostic manager for immune oncology from January 2017. He worked at Roche Diagnostics from January 2009 to April 2015, first as an account manager, then as product manager for tissue diagnostics and subsequently as product marketing manager for oncology. From 1999 to 2008 he was a reagent sales specialist at Ventana Medical Systems. He began his career at UGent as an academic assistant and then as a scientific researcher in virology until May 1999.
Hovelinck studied biology and biochemistry at Ghent University, took a master of science in molecular biology and biotechnology at the Université libre de Bruxelles, and completed a programme in product management for healthcare professionals at Vlerick Business School in 2014.
