Rutger Bevers

Rutger Bevers is the founder and chief executive of ConversationStarter, a company he founded in July 2015. He is based in Belgium. He co-founded Long Term Society in January 2023 and Steward-owned in October 2024, and since early 2024 he has hosted HR Challengers and the Creative Leaders Club.

Bevers coached at open Summer of code in July 2018, July 2019 and July 2020. Before founding ConversationStarter he worked as a UX designer at Blinkist in 2014, co-founded Impact Diner in 2013, and co-founded TEDxUHasselt in 2011, remaining involved until 2017. He was an elected member of StuRa UHasselt from 2011 to 2012 and an iOS developer at Fusebox in the summer of 2011. He was president of the student organisation Filii Lamberti from 2010 to 2011, and in 2006 he founded Game Maker Cursus, which ran until 2013.

He completed a Master of Computer Science in human-computer interaction at Hasselt University in 2013, attended a business summer school at The University of Salford in 2010, and held a summer fellowship with Enstitute in New York City in 2013.
