Simon Vandemoortele

Simon Vandemoortele is the CEO of GeoPostcodes, a role he has held since July 2019. He is based in Brussels.

He joined Riaktr in April 2014 as program manager, becoming chief operating officer in January 2015 and chief technology officer from January 2017 until August 2018. Before that he was a project manager at Empact from May 2010 to March 2014, and a business consultant at Accenture between August 2005 and April 2008. He began his career at Leuven Measurement Systems (LMS), where he worked as a software development engineer from November 2001 to June 2005.

Vandemoortele studied electrical engineering at KU Leuven, graduating with an MSc in 2001, and completed an Executive Master in Management at Solvay Business School in 2012. In 2014 he took the Massachusetts Institute of Technology edX executive education course Tackling the Challenges of Big Data.
