Soeren Steudel

Soeren Steudel is co-founder and chief technology officer of MICLEDI microdisplays, a role he has held since November 2019. He is based in Heverlee.

Before that he spent seventeen years at imec, which he joined as a researcher in October 2002. He became an R&D team leader in 2008 and was a principal member of technical staff from October 2014 until October 2019. Earlier, in the first half of 2001, he worked as a process development engineer at Applied Materials.

Steudel studied electrical engineering at Technische Universität Dresden, completing an M.Sc. in 2002, and spent the 1999 to 2000 academic year at the University of Sheffield as an ERASMUS student. He went on to a PhD in engineering at KU Leuven, which he obtained in 2007.
