Stefaan Motte

Stefaan Motte is Chief Executive Officer of Build-Software, a role he took up in April 2026, and is based in Boutersem. Since November 2016 he has also been Managing Director of Ioberan bv.

From September 2022 to December 2025 he was Chief Executive Officer of Comate Engineering & Design, and between 2023 and May 2025 he sat on the board of directors of MEDVIA. He spent nearly twelve years at Materialise, first as Vice-President and General Manager of Materialise Clinical from April 2010, then from October 2014 until February 2022 as Vice President and General Manager of Materialise Software. Before that he managed crypto and system security at NXP Semiconductors from January 2007 to March 2010, and worked at Philips from 2001, initially as an embedded software engineer and from January 2003 as a software architect and project manager.

He studied at KU Leuven, completing a MSc in Mathematics in 1999, a MSc in Computer Science in 2000 and a MSc in Applied Informatics in 2001.
