Stefan Jacques

Stefan Jacques is a co-founder of Curf, a role he has held since October 2022, and is based in Ghent. Since July 2014 he has also been founder and technical director of Madsis.

Between September 2016 and September 2022 he worked as a freelance software engineer and architect for KLA. Earlier freelance work included a period as an account manager at GDTech from September 2015 to September 2016 and a consultancy at Siemens PLM Software from January 2015 to March 2016. From July 2009 to March 2016 he was a researcher at Ghent University, and before that, from January 2007 to July 2009, he was a study engineer and aviation and aerospace consultant at GDTech.

He completed a PhD in materials engineering at Ghent University between 2009 and 2014. He holds an MSc in mechanics and aeronautics from the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (2002 to 2006) and a master of industrial sciences in electromechanics from Groep T - Internationale Hogeschool Leuven (1997 to 2002). He has also taken a Coursera course in deep learning.
