Background

Stefan Kapferer has chaired the Management Board of 50Hertz since December 2019 and sits on the Executive Management Board of Elia Group. The 50Hertz Supervisory Board renewed his mandate for a further five years through the end of November 2028. Before joining 50Hertz he held senior public-affairs roles in Germany, including as State Secretary at the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology from 2011, and earlier State Secretary positions at the state and federal level.
