
Stefan Ruyters
Stefan Ruyters is a co-founder of Gemsotec, where he has worked in innovation and technology since July 2017. He is based in Bonheiden. Since June 2016 he has also been project manager for SuperBIO at Flanders Biobased Valley, having previously worked as a bio-innovation agent at Ghent Bio-economy Valley from January 2015 to May 2016.
Before that he held a series of research posts. He was a PhD researcher in environmental sciences at KU Leuven from October 2006 to December 2010, then continued there as a research associate and in postdoctoral positions until December 2014, with a period as a post-doctoral researcher at Lessius Hogeschool between May 2012 and September 2013. He completed a master's degree in environmental sciences at KU Leuven, studying there from 2001 to 2006.
