Stephane Pierret

Stephane Pierret is the founder and managing director of OPTIMAL COMPUTING, which he founded in June 2008 and runs from Mons. In parallel with the company's early years, he worked as a senior quantitative IT developer at Dexia – BK Partners from June 2008 to May 2011.

Before that, he spent from March 2007 to June 2008 at Fortis, in credit portfolio management for merchant and private banking. He led the multidisciplinary optimization group at CENAERO from 2002 to March 2007, and the optimization group at Numeca International from 1999 to 2002.

He studied mechanical engineering at the Faculté Polytechnique de Mons from 1988 to 1993, and completed a PhD in applied sciences at the von Karman Institute for Fluid Dynamics between 1993 and 1999.
