Stien Van Gils

Stien Van Gils is a product owner for library websites at Cultuurconnect, a role she took up in November 2023. She is based in Gent.

Before joining Cultuurconnect, she was data office manager at i-mens from March to October 2023, and worked in data and information management at Stad Gent from February 2022 to March 2023. She spent seven years at UZ Gent, first as team leader of the ICT contact centre from February 2015 to December 2017 and then as data manager at the Centrum voor Seksuologie en Gender until January 2022. Earlier she was a librarian at Hogeschool Gent, working on research and information skills from December 2009 to February 2015, and held information manager posts at Bond Beter Leefmilieu and at Sensoa.

She studied library science and documentary information science at Bibliotheekschool Gent from 2006 to 2010, and holds a master's degree in moral sciences and philosophy from Ghent University, obtained between 1999 and 2003.
