Sven Dauwe is the founder of Nymus, a company he started in June 2012. He is based in Sint-Martens-Latem. Since January 2012 he has also been the owner of SD KWADRA BV.
Before founding Nymus, Dauwe was general manager at Frama AG from August 2003 to September 2011. He held that role after a year as sales manager at FP Mailing from July 2002 to July 2003, and two years as a MarkCom consultant for online media at Winsome Benelux from 2000 to 2002. In 2000 he worked in dealer sales at Brady Corporation, and from 1993 to 2000 he was a sales account manager at Canon Benelux.
Dauwe studied marketing at HOGENT, completing a master's degree between 1988 and 1992, and followed the middle management programme in management at Vlerick Business School from 2008 to 2009.
Across nearly every post, Sven Dauwe returns to one preoccupation: taking the stress and complexity of regulatory compliance off his clients' plates so they can "focus on your business" . What starts in June and July as messaging around VAT deadlines and e-reporting widens by August into a country-by-country international rollout and a peppol-driven push into credit management . The tone stays consistent, upbeat and reassuring, but the scope visibly grows: from managing one country's compliance changes to promising customers that new countries are "already covered" before they even ask .
The other constant is growth pressure at Nymus itself. Hiring posts, roadmap comments, and team-expansion notes run in parallel with the client-facing messaging, suggesting the "no worries" promise to customers is backed by a deliberate effort to scale the team fast enough to keep delivering on it .
Dauwe's core pitch is built around removing worry. He states it directly as a "0 worry target!" and repeats the formula almost verbatim across months: "let Nymus do the work and focus on your business" , and later, "Looking for no worries no stress and good value for money? Think Nymus" . When a new country's rules come into play, the message is the same reassurance: "Nog een land erbij, no worries for Nymus customers! We got it already covered" . The underlying claim is that regulatory change, however "complex, difficult, always changing and evolving," is Nymus's problem to solve, not the client's .
Dauwe pushes back on treating compliance as a pure checkbox exercise. Sharing another's advice, he underlines it as a rule worth following: "Do not go for compliancy without thinking efficiency" . Paired with his emphasis on e-reporting and VAT automation as the "next step" for clients , this reflects a view that meeting a regulatory deadline is only half the job, the other half is making sure the process itself doesn't waste effort or money.
The expansion story is told in short, confident beats. It moves from an announcement, "Nymus goes international" , to a working method, "Step by step, country per country" , to a customer promise once each new market lands, "we got it already covered" . There's also a shift into new territory beyond core invoicing: "We geven peppol een extra tintje richting credit management," with a launch event flagged for November .
Growth ambitions extend inward. Dauwe describes the scale of what's ahead plainly: "we hebben een grote roadmap, heel wat tech challenges in de fintech en een pak met top ideeën! Hoe meer (goede) zielen, hoe leuker aan de lunch tafel" . He frames dev hiring the same way: "Altijd nuttig om een goed dev team verder uit te breiden , de roadmap is lang and ambitieus!" . Multiple posts point to open roles and ask his network to help fill them .
Dauwe draws a clear line on AI's role at Nymus: "AI as tool off course. AI to replace quality and humans, not really. We all will go faster and more accurate" . The framing keeps AI subordinate to human quality while treating it as a speed and accuracy multiplier.
In the dVO bUZZ interview, Dauwe goes into detail the LinkedIn posts don't touch. He cites a specific figure to explain urgency around the January 2026 mandatory e-invoicing deadline: currently only 3-5% of the market sends true e-invoices 16. He also explains Nymus's differentiation strategy in terms not used in his posts, saying the company wins by listening to clients' specific sector needs and challenges 16, and he identifies system integrations, particularly with Microsoft and Oracle through partner networks, as key to future growth when serving mid-market and larger companies 16.
