
Sven Van Segbroeck is co-founder and chief technology officer of Cascador Health, a role he has held since January 2021, and holds the same position at Cascador / moveUP from May 2026. He is based in Gent.
Before that he was a solution architect at Televic Rail from November 2018 to February 2021, and CTO of Be-Mobile from March 2016 to October 2018. He joined FLOW NV as a software engineer in February 2011 and became its CTO in February 2013, staying until February 2016.
His earlier career was in research. He was a postdoctoral research fellow at F.R.S. - FNRS from October 2010 to January 2011, and a visiting scientist at the Université libre de Bruxelles from December 2007 to September 2010, overlapping with his doctoral work at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, where he was a PhD student from 2006 to 2010.
He holds a PhD in computer science from the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, along with an MSc in computer science with a specialisation in artificial intelligence and an MSc in mathematics from the same university. In 2013 he took a product management programme at Vlerick Business School. He attended KA Boom.
