Tanguy Sterckx
Tanguy Sterckx is the CEO of Aware - Altogether We Are Retailers, a role he has held since July 2024. Based in Brussels, he joined the organisation in January 2022 as Secrétaire Général and CFO, serving in that capacity until June 2024.
Before that he was at Intermarché, where he was CFO from May 2008 to November 2012 and returned from March 2017 to December 2021 as CFO and General Manager International Purchase. Between those two periods he was CFO of ARAMARK Belgium. Earlier, at Carrefour, he was an internal auditor from September 2004, then accounting manager, and finally financial advisor until May 2008. He began his career at Deloitte in September 1999, where he worked as an advanced senior auditor until March 2003, followed by business controller positions at SAP Belgium Luxemburg and Proximus.
Sterckx studied at Ichec Brussels Management School from 1994 to 1999, graduating as an ingénieur commercial.
