Tanika Kenens
Tanika Kenens is a founder and researcher at AlterEdu, based in Antwerp. She founded AlterEdu in 2021. Since September 2025 she has also performed as a singer-songwriter, singer and pianist with Tanika en de Horizon.
Between October 2019 and October 2024 she was a PhD researcher at Tilburg University, where she completed a Doctor of Philosophy in Culture Studies and Educational Sciences. Earlier, in June 2013, she founded Hello Languages, which she led until May 2023.
She studied at KU Leuven, taking a Bachelor of Arts in Taal- en letterkunde Frans-Spaans from 2008 to 2011 and a Master of Arts in Taal- en Letterkunde in 2011 and 2012. In between, from 2010 to 2011, she studied Filología hispánica y francesa at the Universidad de Granada.
