Thomas Pinna

Thomas Pinna is Chief Technology Officer at Heliovision, a role he took up in November 2024. He is based in Mortsel and states expertise in leadership, entrepreneurship and software engineering.

From February 2018 to October 2024 he was co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of MyCellHub. Before that he worked at the University of Antwerp between October 2016 and January 2018 as a researcher and entrepreneur in the Math and Computer Science department, on data-driven quality assurance, overlapping with a period as a software engineer at Apicbase from October 2016 to October 2017. Earlier, he held student jobs at November Five in 2015, working on process automation of dependency management, and at UAntwerpen in July 2015 on a feasibility study of an exercise for the course model driven engineering.

He studied at the University of Antwerp, completing a bachelor's degree in computer software engineering in 2015 and a master's degree in the same field in 2016. He attended Groenendaalcollege from 2003 to 2010, studying mathematics and Latin.
