Tim Mellaerts

Tim Mellaerts is a co-founder of walkly, where he serves as chief commercial officer. Based in Leuven, he co-founded the company in November 2023.

Before that he spent close to three years at Phished, joining in March 2021 as head of partnerships, then moving to sales director for APAC in December 2021 and to sales director in January 2023. He had previously worked for transcosmos, first as senior business development manager at transcosmos inc. from 2014, then at transcosmos Information Systems Ltd as commercial management and strategy manager and, from November 2019, as business relationship manager. Earlier he was an e-learning coordinator at Terumo, and held internships with LOGOS Public Affairs, the Delegation of the EU to Japan through the European External Action Service, and Sony.

Mellaerts studied Japanese studies at KU Leuven, followed by a period at Kyushu University on the Japan in Today's World programme, and took a master's in European studies at KU Leuven.
