Tim Van Hauwermeiren

Tim Van Hauwermeiren co-founded argenx in 2008 alongside Hans de Haard and Torsten Dreier, having previously worked together at Ablynx. He served as CEO from the company's founding until stepping down in a planned leadership transition in 2026, when COO Karen Massey took over as CEO and Van Hauwermeiren became chairman of the board.

Prior to argenx, he held roles at Ablynx and Procter & Gamble. He holds a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in bioengineering from Ghent University and an Executive MBA from Vlerick Business School.
