
Tom Bosschaerts is Chief Operating Officer of ImmuneWatch, a company he co-founded in September 2021 and where he took up his current role in January 2026. He had previously served as its Director of Operations from April 2023.
Based in Lier, Bosschaerts held a series of valorisation manager posts at the University of Antwerp between June 2018 and April 2023, covering life sciences, the PreMeT programme, and infectious diseases and environmental health. Before that he was project and grant manager at eTheRNA, senior project manager life sciences at CMAST from 2014 to 2018, and project manager global public health at The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson. Earlier in his career he was R&D manager at Dafra Pharma and a medical and scientific writer at Archemin.
He studied bio-science engineering at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, graduating in 2005, and went on to complete a PhD in immunology and infectious diseases there in 2010. He attended Atheneum Lier from 1996 to 2000.
