Tom Symons
Tom Symons is the founder of iRetailCheck - Holistic Visual AI LP Solutions, which he started in July 2019. He is based in Wijnegem.
He founded Profit Protection Services (PPS) in January 2008 and continues to run it, and since May 2014 he has also been a business partner there for Nedap Retail Solutions. Between January 2014 and June 2019 he was the founder of CaddyCheck® - Looking where you cannot see.
Symons spent much of his earlier career at Checkpoint Systems, joining in September 1996 in sales support and later holding roles as after sales manager for the Benelux, source tagging manager for the Benelux, key account manager for Europe and, during 2007, vertical market manager for fast-moving consumer goods in Europe covering health, beauty and cosmetics. In between, from May 1999 to August 2000, he was a sales engineer at Securibel.
He studied at Sint-Michielscollege Brasschaat and at Karel de Grote-Hogeschool from 1996 to 1999, and followed the Young Management programme for high potentials at Vlerick Business School in 2003 and 2004.
