Tomas Staelens

Tomas Staelens is Chief Technology Officer at Campfire AI, a role he has held since January 2021. He is based in Appels.

Before joining Campfire AI, he spent close to three years at Springbok Agency, first as a project manager from February 2018 and then as senior technical project manager from February 2019 until December 2020. He worked as an IT recruiter at USG Professionals Belgium between August 2017 and February 2018, and before that at 24plus, where he was an operations employee from May 2015 and then in operational support until August 2017.

Earlier in his career he was the owner of Côté Sud from 2012 to 2014 and of Manic Martian from 2009 to 2011. He managed a game studio at Spil Games from April 2007 to April 2009, and held researcher posts at SMIT and at ARTketing between 2005 and 2007.

Staelens studied communication sciences at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, graduating in 2004, and completed an additional master in radio and television journalism at Erasmushogeschool Brussel in 2005.
