
Veronick Benoy is a co-founder of Tavira Therapeutics, where she has served as co-founder and operational manager since June 2023, and is based in Attenrode. Since January 2025 she has coordinated activities on grief and children at Verlies Verbindt, and in September 2025 she took up a role as a training volunteer with Missing You vzw.
From January 2020 to July 2026 she was research manager for gene therapy at Trellis. Between November 2016 and December 2019 she was a research scientist at KU Leuven, Lab of Cellular Transportsystems and CISTIM/a CD3 company, following a period in 2016 as a research associate with KU Leuven and VIB. She was a PhD student at VIB from 2011 to 2016, and worked as a job student at KU Leuven in July 2008 and July 2009.
She holds a doctorate in biomedical sciences, cognitive and molecular neurosciences, from KU Leuven and a master in biomedical sciences from its Faculty of Medicine. She also studied foundations of business development at Flanders Business School and completed a programme on grief and loss at Verbinding in Verlies.
