
Viktor-Jan Vertessen
Viktor-Jan Vertessen is a doctor based in Kortessem and the founder of EquiVita Genetics, which he established in August 2021. Since October 2025 he has been a clinical fellow at CHU de Liège, and since October 2024 he has worked at ZOL as a consultant in gynaecology and obstetrics at ZOL Genk, alongside a residency in gynaecology and obstetrics there running from October 2024 to May 2026.
Before that he was a resident in gynaecology and obstetrics at Jessa ziekenhuis from October 2021 to October 2024. He began his hospital training as a resident assistant at RZ Heilig Hart Tienen from October 2019 to September 2020, followed by a year in the same role at ZOL until October 2021.
Vertessen studied at Hasselt University, where he completed a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery, and at KU Leuven, where he obtained his MD through the Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program between October 2019 and September 2024.
