Willem Groef

Willem Groef is a co-founder and the CTO of e-invoice, a role he has held since January 2025, and is based in Brussels. In January 2026 he also became a co-founder of SevenYoken. Since January 2017 he has worked as a fractional CTO at wdg.sh.

Between May 2022 and April 2024 he was a co-founder and CTO of Airobi. He co-founded Elimity in January 2017 and remained a co-founder until April 2022, serving as its CEO from October 2018 to February 2022.

Groef studied at KU Leuven, where he completed a Master of Science in Computer Science with the Secure Software option between 2009 and 2011, followed by a Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science from 2011 to 2016.
