William Chen
William Chen is the founder and managing director of OneTouch Technology, based in Gent. He founded the company in 2018 and has held that role since, and since the same year he has also served as Asian liaison officer for ePIXfab, the European Silicon Photonics Alliance.
Between 2013 and 2017 he was a senior project manager and global team leader at Hisilicon. Before that he co-founded Caliopa, where he was a product manager from 2010 to 2013. He worked at imec from October 2008 to June 2010 on product development and start-up preparation, having previously been a project manager at Altran from August 2007 to October 2008. His first spell at imec was as a research engineer from April 2002 to July 2007.
Chen took a course in fundamental management skills at Vlerick Business School from 2008 to 2009. He completed a PhD in microelectronics and optical communication at Ghent University in 2007, and studied communication and signal processing at Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics from 1998 to 2001.
