Wim Van Thillo

Wim Van Thillo is Chief Technology and Strategy Officer at Pharrics, a role he took up in February 2026, and is based in Antwerp. He had joined Pharrics as Chief Executive Officer in September 2025. Since May 2025 he has also been a strategic advisor to Aerospacelab.

From June 2018 to August 2025 he was CEO of Pharrowtech, which he co-founded. Before that he spent eight years at imec, joining as a researcher in January 2010, becoming a senior researcher and project leader in April 2011 and serving as programme director from January 2015 until May 2018.

He studied electrical engineering at KU Leuven, completing an M.Sc. in 2005, and also took the kandidaat handelsingenieur programme in business administration there from 2003 to 2005. He remained at KU Leuven as a PhD student from September 2005, receiving a PhD in electrical engineering in 2009, and spent 2008 as a visiting researcher at the University of California, Berkeley. Between 2005 and 2014 he studied Mandarin at the CLT Language Center.
