Xanthippe Verbist-Aelbrecht

Xanthippe Verbist-Aelbrecht is the owner of Chelona, a role she has held since August 2015, and is based in Putte. Since October 2025 she has also been the owner of X-Cruises / X-Croisières.

She worked at Cipal Schaubroeck as a talent acquisition partner from June 2020 to March 2021. Earlier she was a freelance jobcoach and teacher of HR training at K-onsult Loopbaancenter, a franchise recruiter at Domino's Pizza Belgium, a business development manager at IT-flex NV, a recruitment officer at Securitas Belgium and a recruitment and mobility officer at Carrefour. She also held roles at LayerWise, YELLOW SELECTIE, Swissport and Herrera Recruitment.

Her early career included two HRM internships, at Jetair in 2012 and at Vandeputte Safety International in 2011, work as a student researcher in recruitment and selection at Monitor Personeelsadvies, and summers as a kids entertainer for Jetair. She studied psychology, with a focus on industrial and organisational psychology, at Lessius Antwerpen from 2009 to 2012, where she was a student representative.
