Yasim Coene

Yasim Coene is a co-founder of Zeal Robotics, a role he has held since January 2022. He is based in Brussels.

Before that he spent over six years at Colruyt Group, joining in September 2015 as a business process engineer and moving in March 2020 to a role in R&D and innovation in robotics, which he held until January 2022.

Coene studied at Ghent University, completing a Bachelor of Science in Business Engineering between 2007 and 2012 and a Master of Science in Business Engineering with a focus on operations management between 2012 and 2014. He attended Koninklijke Atheneum 1 Centrum Oostende from 2000 to 2007, in modern languages and economics with mathematics.

During and after his studies he took part in a number of student business and strategy competitions, among them the GLO-BUS Strategy Game, the BCG Strategy Cup, the BNP Paribas Fortis Investor Game, the A.T. Kearney Strategy Challenge, the Solvay Business Game, the IBM Strategy Challenge, the Roskilde University Case Competition and the Start-Academy at Vlajo. He also worked student jobs as a counter clerk at bpost bank in 2010 and at De Lijn from 2012 to 2014.
