Jean Derely passed leadership to Julie Foulon in 2012. Julie Foulon served as Managing Director for three years alongside community contributors including Ramon Suarez, who sat on the BetaGroup board alongside his role at Betacowork. Julie Cruyt subsequently led the organisation for a further three years, growing membership to over 8,000. Nicolas Frenay and Walter De Brouwer have also been associated with the community as ecosystem contributors.
BetaGroup is closely connected to Startups.be, the national startup support organisation, and to Betacowork, the Brussels coworking space co-founded by Jean Derely and Ramon Suarez in 2010.
