We’re celebrating the hard work and contributions of our summer interns.
This week, we are featuring Julia Hughes.
Thank you for everything you’ve brought to the team so far!
Here is her short blurb:
Hi, I’m Julia, a third-year Biomedical Engineering student at UWaterloo and a member of the varsity track and field team.
I have been warmly welcomed by the Steadiwear team, where I have had the opportunity to apply what I have learned in the classroom to medical device R&D.
With the support of the team, I have been connecting with users to better understand their experiences, translating those insights into engineering requirements, and building a deep learning model that helps simulate how our technologies work and identify opportunities for refinement and optimization.
My experience so far has shown me how important it is to combine technical problem-solving with a deeper understanding of the human experiences that shape meaningful design.
