Sending an e-invoice through Peppol is only half the story. What happens next? Once a document leaves your system on the Peppol network, you need to know what happened to it. Did it arrive? Was it valid? Did the recipient accept it, or flag a problem? That's exactly what webhooks are for. Instead of polling an API and hoping for the best, your system gets notified automatically, in real time, at every step: ➡️ Transport ACK: confirmation that the receiving Access Point actually received your document ➡️ MLR (Message Level Response): technical validation result from the network or the receiver ➡️ Invoice Response: the receiver's business-level decision: accepted, rejected or under dispute ➡️ Validation warnings: get notified proactively if your outgoing documents don't comply with upcoming rule changes, before they become blocking errors ➡️ Incoming documents: invoices, credit notes and self-billing documents landing directly in your system the moment they arrive The result: no manual monitoring, no "did they get my invoice?" emails, and a system that reacts to the network instead of guessing what's happening on it.
