Some people simply have no regard for ethics. Building a business is difficult. Building one on integrity is even more so. Over the years, I have always believed that competition is healthy. Markets evolve, talented people move on, and new companies emerge. That is part of business. VARAMAR saw several people come and go. Some opened shops that later closed. Some - still afloat. One tried stealing our slogan - “Making shipping more efficient”, now another one said they have a 100-year experience and the only picture they have for their brochure - turned out to be the stolen one. Yet another red line was crossed. What is not part of healthy competition is abandoning professional ethics. It is disappointing to see a company founded by several former colleagues - MYRIADA Shipping S.A. - choose a path that raises serious ethical concerns. Even more concerning is the apparent use of images created by others - their ex-fellow colleagues - in their advertising, presented as if they were their own work. So be careful. You never know what they steal next. To entrepreneurs and business leaders: compete hard, innovate boldly, and respect intellectual property. Your reputation will always be your most valuable asset. Innovation should be built on ideas, expertise, and value—not on appropriating someone else’s content or reputation. And we will ofcourse survive such unethical act. Ethics are not a marketing strategy—they are the foundation of sustainable success. Attn: Maryna Novikova
