Alexander Varvarenko
Alexander Varvarenko is the founder of SHIPNEXT and has served as its chief executive officer since May 2016. He is based in Antwerp. Since April 2009 he has also been a partner at VARAMAR.
Before that, Varvarenko was managing director of Kaalbye Projects from March 2006 to April 2009, having spent the preceding four years as chartering manager at CEC LINES from March 2002.
He studied at the Odessa National Maritime University between 1998 and 2003, taking an MBA in ship and port management, and gained the FICS qualification from the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers between 2000 and 2003.
