👩‍💻We updated our CBAM Simulator!Â
With our CBAM Simulator 2.0, you can:Â Â
Explore comprehensive trade impacts of the EU CBAM, e.g. how total net costs may become negative. Our simulator takes into account that EU selling prices may rise, allowing exporters to recover part of the additional carbon cost through higher revenues: if the additional revenues from higher prices exceed the CBAM fees paid, exporters may experience a net benefit.Â
What makes our simulator unique?
🌏It estimates CBAM fees per country, sector, and even single products.Â
đź’¶It estimates the net cost of the CBAM, after deducting revenues expected from higher EU market prices for CBAM goods.
➕It simulates different responses of exporting countries, and potential scope extensions of the CBAM.
📊 Costs are given for each year from 2026 onwards, using the regulation’s methodology with CBAM benchmarks.
For our latest report, we modelled the impact of the CBAM for India and how the country might respond using our updated CBAM Simulator. We invite you to try it and analyse how your country or industry might be impacted by the CBAM.Â
