☀️ Summer break isn't a pause button. It's a reset button.
If you're reading this on a beach or a hammock right now, good! That's exactly where you should be.
Here's the thing about active learning: it's not just about your students. The same principles of rest, retrieval, and reflection recharge you too. 🧠
A few things worth carrying into September:
🔋 Rest is productive. Stepping back from the work is what gives your best ideas for next term the room to surface.
📚 Reflect before you replan. What actually landed with your students this year? What fell flat? Summer is the space to be honest about it.
🎯 You don't need a full overhaul to make a difference. One new polling question, one flipped session, one retrieval quiz. Momentum builds from there, not from reinventing everything at once.
