VENN Germany took on WACKEN again in 2026. Three sites, one weekend, no infrastructure or fibre cables. Thousands of excited attendees, and zero room for downtime. VENN Germany was back at Wacken in 2026, running managed connectivity for Full:Metal:Army, the festival's official fan club. Here's what held it together: One controller, two networks. At the campground hub, a single central controller manages separate Wi-Fi networks for crew and for members. Same infrastructure, no interference between the two, and full visibility from one place. Hybrid connectivity as backup. The campground hub and the infield container run on Starlink and 5G together. If one gets congested, traffic moves to the other. No single point of failure. The merch stand runs on Starlink alone, kept simple for a smaller, single-purpose site. Built to get bigger. What started as one hotspot for the organising team is now a three-site network: campground, merch stand, infield container, each connected back to the same backbone. Scale without starting from zero each time. Temporary events push infrastructure harder than most permanent ones ever will. You need to build a network fast, run it without interruption, then take it all down again quickly and cleanly. Your design gets tested. It either holds, or it doesn't. Ours held.
