Advancing our research on smart irrigation in pear trees 🍐💧
Together with Proefcentrum Fruitteelt (pcfruit vzw), we are conducting trials to explore how branch diameter measurements can help guide irrigation decisions.
By monitoring pear trees under different irrigation levels, we are gaining practical experience in linking plant measurements to water needs, with the goal of supporting more precise and efficient irrigation advice for fruit growers.
Thanks to Quantified Sensor Technology, the sensor data is transmitted wirelessly, even in locations without access to electricity, enabling continuous monitoring directly in the orchard.
