Discover today the first 5 speakers for the CISUTAC final event as part of the ECOSYSTEX Conference, which will take place on 22-24 August in Antwerp, Belgium. Lien Van der Schueren from Centexbel will open the session with setting the scene for the project's four-year journey. From there, Guy Buyle from Centexbel will take stock of how the textile landscape has shifted since the project began, and what that means for CISUTAC's original assumptions. 👕 Next, Emma Enebog from RISE Research Institutes of Sweden will introduce a decision support tool for channelling textile waste toward recycling and higher R-strategies, and Andreas Schneider from Global Textile Scheme GmbH will turn to data as a driver for textile circularity. Siet Sijtsema Wageningen University & Research will then shares insight into what shapes consumer behaviour in a circular textile economy. On the innovation side, Dev Mishra from Gentle Systems will demonstrate semi-automated workstations for repair and disassembly, and Lien Van der Schueren will return to close out the technical programme with advances in recycling polyester and cotton textile waste.
