🌍 How can AI and digital technologies help protect Europe’s food supply chains from emerging threats?
DEFENSEFOOD brings together a multidisciplinary consortium across Europe to strengthen preparedness and resilience against chemical, biological, and radiological (CBR) threats. By combining advanced technologies, risk intelligence, predictive analytics, and stakeholder collaboration, the project supports safer and more resilient food systems.
🤖 At its core, DEFENSEFOOD develops AI-enabled risk identification tools, predictive models, decision-support systems, and advanced detection methods to help stakeholders anticipate risks, improve response coordination, and protect public health and food security.
🤝 The DEFENSEFOOD project team was asked: How do synegies shape the future of digital agri-food?
"For DEFENSEFOOD, synergies help build a more prepared and connected food-safety ecosystem. Collaboration between researchers, authorities, security experts, technology providers and food-chain actors makes it possible to combine risk intelligence, detection methods, predictive tools and response strategies. By working together, digital agri-food initiatives can support earlier threat identification, faster coordination and stronger protection of Europe’s food supply chains."
