AI helps foresight teams scan more of the world, catch signals earlier, and build out possible futures faster than manual research ever could. That's the case a new World Economic Forum piece makes, co-written by foresight leaders from AXA and Salesforce alongside a group of academics.
What the piece is careful about is what that speed can cost: whether the process still leaves room for teams to question an assumption, trace a claim back to its source, and make sense of what the signals actually mean before anyone acts on them.
A strategic intelligence platform is designed around that same balance. Continuous scanning across more sources than any team could read by hand, scoring a person can question, sources that trace back to where a claim actually came from, and human judgment built into the process.
Ageas Group runs exactly this kind of model. Their Think2030 unit tracks 148 trends continuously across ten strategic themes, combining AI-driven signal detection with input from over 1,500 employees across 14 countries, feeding directly into their strategic planning cycle.
