This is about a place we want to help build in Africa. Not because we have to or it advances our business. But because we genuinely believe the African legal ecosystem needs a place where its different parts come together in these fast-moving times. At Afriwise, we are fortunate to work with almost 200 law firms across the continent, to speak to legal teams inside major companies, both local and international, and to engage with legal-tech founders, international technology companies, researchers, regulators and increasingly others who are shaping how legal services will be delivered. And sometimes you get the impression we live in different worlds... And now we want everyone to have that opportunity. So let's create the place where people from very different parts of the legal world mix freely, not just from Africa but also from the rest of the world, no one too important to approach. Founders talking to managing partners, investors to technologists, corporate lawyers to people they had never met before. The best events for me have been the ones where I found myself in a conversation with exactly the person I didn't know I needed to meet at exactly that time. We want this to be the place where this is possible. And I am incredibly excited that we are building it together with Legaltech Hub.
