Three years ago, connecting your CRM to an AI system was a whole project.
First you had a scoping call, then a development quote, then a timeline that ran into next quarter.
Today, for a growing number of systems, it's just a configuration step.
Most leadership teams have not updated their assumptions to match. I still have conversations where someone describes an integration as a long back and forth with IT.
Here is why it matters.
When integration was expensive, the constraint was budget. You connected the one or two systems you could justify, and everything else stayed manual.
Now that the cost has collapsed, the constraint has moved somewhere less comfortable: knowing which workflow actually needs to be connected.
So, one question for any leader reading this. If you could connect one system to an AI agent tomorrow, Salesforce, Odoo, Outlook, SharePoint, or whichever ones your team actually works in, would you know which ones to pick?
