This one is really personal for me. Six years ago, during COVID, I had some money saved and one decision to make: Do I buy a new car, or do I spend that money on a patent for an idea that, at that moment, existed ony in my head? I chose the patent. So I kept my old Nissan Qashqai. 😄 The idea was to generate physical randomness from dark-current shot noise using standard CMOS technology, without photons or special processes. At the beginning, some people thought it was crazy. And many times during these six years, I also asked myself: Will this really work? Will anyone believe in it? Was it worth it? But slowly, the little snowball started growing. From an idea to simulations. From circuits to silicon. From a patent application to a working device. And around that idea, iQrypto started to grow too, with a team, investors, partners and people around me who started sharing this crazy idea and vision. Today, that first patent has finally been granted. I have submitted three patent applications, but this is the first one granted and probably the one that means the most to me. Not because of the patent document itself, but because something that six years ago existed only in my mind is now real, working, protected, and something we believe can compete in the market. Meanwhile, my Nissan is now 15 years old sitting yet leaking oil from a bloody component. 😂 But every time I look at it, I remember the decision I made six years ago: to bet on an idea instead of buying something comfortable and immediate. I would make exactly the same decision again. The car got older. The idea became real. The little snowball became iQrypto and still rolling. Thank you to everyone who believed in this journey and helped make it possible.
