Congratulations to BIO INX, a spin-off from Vrije Universiteit Brussel and Ghent University: their shape-memory resin, DEGRES INX®, was successfully used to 3D-print 28 nerve repair implants in orbit aboard the International Space Station. 🛰️🌍
During Mission AXLM-3, American firm Auxilium Biotechnologies used BIO INX' resin with its bioprinting platform to manufacture these implants.
By leveraging microgravity, this breakthrough paves the way for advanced biomedical manufacturing that could one day shape the future of medicine both in space and on Earth.
