🥩Israeli food-tech Aleph Farms has secured regulatory clearance from the Singapore Food Agency (SFA) for its cultivated beef Thin-Cut Steak, sold under the Aleph Cuts brand, the sixth cultivated meat product approved in the country, putting Singapore ahead of the US in total approvals. ➡️ The product combines non-modified, non-immortalized cells from a premium Black Angus cow with a plant protein matrix made of soy and wheat ➡️ The approval follows an application first filed in September 2022 ➡️ Aleph Farms is targeting its Singapore production line to be operational in the first half of 2027, with restaurant partners in Singapore and Israel for the initial rollout ➡️ Expansion to APAC and the EU is planned for 2027–28, followed by the US and Japan ➡️ The company has raised $147M to date, working with manufacturing partners Cell Agritech (Singapore), BBGI, Fermbox Bio, and The Cultured Hub "We are targeting our Singapore production line to be operational in first half of 2027," said CEO Didier Toubia. 📌 Stay tuned to BIOKET for the latest moves shaping the bioeconomy.
