Ostend

Ostend is located in the province of West Flanders on the North Sea coast. The city's port and proximity to offshore wind installations in the North Sea have positioned it as a base for maritime technology and offshore energy companies. It is home to the research institute VLIZ (Flanders Marine Institute).
