Proximus Ada
Proximus Ada is the Brussels-based AI & Machine Learning and Cybersecurity center of excellence operated as a wholly owned subsidiary of Proximus, serving the group and external partners.
Proximus Ada was launched by Proximus in March 2022 as Belgium's first center of excellence combining artificial intelligence and Cybersecurity. It operates from Cantersteen 12 in Brussels and is led by managing director Stephanie Cox. The unit started with around 50 specialists and grew past 150 by 2026.
On the AI side, Proximus Ada has built more than 160 production use cases for the parent group and its customers, including over 15 generative AI use cases spanning customer operations, network engineering, and internal productivity. The team owns end-to-end AI governance for the group, with explicit guardrails around data protection and responsible deployment.
On the Cybersecurity side, the unit runs a Computer Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT) that processed more than 31,000 alarms in 2024 across the Proximus group. It collaborates with Belgian universities and research centers on talent pipelines and applied research, and works closely with sister entities including BICS, Proximus NXT, and Codit.
