Specifix is developing fully automatic pre-operative planning software for patient-specific fracture treatment. The software uses AI to support orthopedic surgeons in selecting the best implant (surgical plate and screws) to stabilize fractures and generate patient-specific surgical plans with precise implant placement in minutes. The company was founded in January 2023 as a spin-off from VisionLab (UAntwerp and imec) based on two patent applications.
