Corda Campus

TLDR

Corda Campus is a 14-hectare technology campus in Hasselt, Limburg, built on the former Philips site and operated by regional investment company Lrm, hosting around 250 companies and 5,000 people.

Overview

Corda Campus occupies the former Philips factory site in Hasselt, repurposed after Philips closed its Belgian plant in 2000. Regional investment company Lrm led the redevelopment, combining new construction with re-use of the existing Philips halls to create one of the largest business campuses in the Meuse-Rhine Euregion. The campus operates as Corda Campus NV from Kempische Steenweg 293 in Hasselt.

The site houses around 250 tenants and roughly 5,000 employees across 14 hectares, spanning startups, scale-ups, corporates, and shared facilities. Recent expansion includes Corda Arena, a 10,000 square meter multifunctional digital congress complex with capacity for up to 4,000 attendees, positioned as Europe's first digital conference center.

Corda anchors a wider Limburg innovation network of specialised hubs, including Droneport for the drone industry, BioVille for health and care, IncubaThor for smart energy, Greenville for the circular economy, Agropolis for agriculture, and C-mine Crib in Genk for creative business. A spin-off campus, Campus Noord, is being developed with Lrm, POM Limburg, Profel, and the municipality of Pelt.
