Florentijn Degroote is co-founder and CEO of Powernaut, a Ghent-based cleantech startup building Virtual Power Plant orchestration software, which raised EUR 2.4 million in December 2024 and now manages over 200 MW of decentralized energy assets.

Degroote has been working on energy system modeling since 2018 as a machine learning engineer and co-founded Powernaut in 2023.
