Gerrit Schalenbourg

Gerrit Schalenbourg is the chief executive officer of appwise and is based in Hasselt. He has held the position of chief executive officer at Wisemen since September 2025, having joined the company in April 2017 as a solution architect and served as head of operations from September 2022 to September 2025. From April 2016 to April 2018 he worked as a mobile engineer at Appwise.

He studied Information Management & Systems with CISCO networking at Katholieke Hogeschool Mechelen, completing a bachelor's degree between 2004 and 2007. His stated areas of expertise are digital transformation, custom software development, artificial intelligence, change management and business process automation.
